1ST NATIONAL ENHANCED RECOVERY AFTER SURGERY (ERAS) CONGRESS
The Medical City ERAS Centre of Excellence (COE) Team and the ERAS Society International wish to invite you to the 1st National ERAS Congress on September 8, 2016 at the Augusto Barcelon Auditorium of the hospital. In the faculty are the president of the ERAS Society International, Prof, Olle Ljungqvist, and members of the ERAS COE Team from Tan Tock Seng Singapore, Prof. John Tey Boon Lim and Prof. How Kwang Yeong.
Registration fee of Php 1,500 includes congress kit, USB with ERAS information, lunch and snacks, and certificate of participation indicating completion of ERAS introductory course.
ERAS or Enhanced Recovery After Surgery is a multi-modal, multidisciplinary protocol in managing surgical patients during the perioperative period (preoperative, intra-operative, postoperative). It involves evidence-based processes accomplished with coordinated care among members of medical and surgical teams which includes surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nurses, nutrition specialists and dieticians, hospital management decision-makers.
It is our hope that this course will entice hospitals to establish their own ERAS teams through formal and guided training.
